Website Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Whole website at wholeworth.app (the “Site”), run by Gianmarco David (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The Whole app (the “App”) has its own Privacy Policy, which also covers the account deletion page, since that page deletes your App sync account.

At a glance

The Site has no ads, no analytics, and no cookies. Visiting it sends us nothing about you beyond what any web server receives. If you sign up to hear when Whole comes to iPhone and iPad, we keep your email address to send you that one email, then delete it.

Visiting the Site

Cloudflare hosts the Site. When you visit, Cloudflare receives your IP address and the details your browser sends with each request, such as the page and your browser type, and processes them to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks. We do not use them to identify you or to follow you across pages or sites.

The Site loads its fonts and images from itself, not from other services.

iPhone and iPad launch emails

You can ask us to email you when Whole is out on iPhone and iPad. The sign-up form is at lists.wholeworth.app, on our own server, which runs Listmonk, an open-source mailing list program. The form and the pages our emails link to have no cookies, analytics, or outside scripts. Its “not a robot” check runs in your browser and only talks to our server. Like any web server, ours receives your IP address, but it doesn’t pass it on to Listmonk, and its logs keep only part of it.

  • What we keep. Your email address, and when you signed up and confirmed. We do not keep your IP address.
  • What it’s for. One email, when Whole is available on the App Store. We do not use your address for anything else, add it to other lists, or share it with anyone but the providers below.
  • Confirmation. After you sign up, we email you a link to confirm. Until you confirm, you get nothing else. If you don’t confirm within 7 days, we delete your address.
  • No tracking. Our emails have no tracking pixels and their links are not rewritten, so we don’t know whether you open them or what you click.
  • How long. We delete the list after sending the launch email. If Whole never comes to iPhone and iPad, we delete it and tell you so in a last email.
  • Changing your mind. The launch email has an unsubscribe link, which deletes your address. You can also email us to delete it at any time.

Signing up is not linked to the App or to a sync account. If you already use the App, we will not add your sync account’s email to this list.

If European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar data-protection law applies, we rely on:

  • Consent for the launch email list. You can withdraw it at any time, as described above. Withdrawal does not affect the emails sent before.
  • Legitimate interests for the technical data needed to deliver the Site and keep it secure. Our interest is a working, safe website. You can object to this processing; see Your privacy rights.

Who receives information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the Site for us, under our instructions:

  • Cloudflare hosts the Site.
  • Hetzner (Hetzner Online GmbH) hosts the server that runs the sign-up form and keeps the list, in Finland (EU).
  • Lettermint (Lettermint B.V., in the Netherlands, EU) delivers our emails to your inbox. It keeps each email for 28 days.
  • Infomaniak (Infomaniak Network SA) hosts our email, in Switzerland, if you write to us.

We may also disclose information if required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

International data transfers

Cloudflare operates internationally, so information it processes may be transferred to or accessed from countries outside your country or the European Economic Area. Our email is hosted in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognizes as protecting personal data adequately. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or approved Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details of the safeguards for any provider.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To use them, email us.

You may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority of the country where you live or work, or with the one that supervises us, the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Children

The launch email list is for adults. Do not sign up if you are under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Site or applicable law changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise its effective date.
