Whole has no ads anymore

Until now, the free version of Whole showed a Google ad banner. From version 2.7, it’s gone, along with the consent form that came with it.

Why

Serving Google ads didn’t fit what I want Whole to be anymore. Whole already didn’t sell your data, and I don’t want to sell your attention either. A net worth app should help you think about your money, not pull your eyes to someone else’s offer.

So from now on, Premium is what pays for Whole. If you like the app and want to support it, that’s the way to do it.

What’s still there

Where the ad used to be, free users now see a small bar about Premium and what it adds. If you have Premium, you won’t see it.

Whole still sends crash reports, so I can find and fix bugs. The privacy policy lists what the app collects and who handles it.
